Alternative way to install meteor on windows

Is there any alternative way to install meteor on windows?
I can’t install it with official approach. It fails!!

Both of you should try disabling windows defender and trying again. 99% of my problems on windows are defender related

Surprisingly at last I could install it on my pc!!!

Does anyone know why Meteor Team decided to rely on a third software to install another software (in this case Meteor) ? What if Windows users do not want to install Chocolate ?
I do no see the advantages for this (on user side).

Meteor on windows (10) doesnt appear to work very well

While the removal of node_modules and a meteor reset is certainly good practice when updating between major versions, I hope all the otherwise complicated steps to reinstall Meteor on Windows are greatly simplified by choco. Ultimately, I think it should be possible to just run: choco uninstall meteor followed by choco install meteor I’m sorry there have been problems with Windows 10, as indicated in this thread, but I can attest that I have tested Meteor quite extensively with Meteor 1.6 a…
