Galaxy - really concerned about platform security (data encryption at rest)

Thanks, I appreciate the response. I think the pressure on this is driven by our own needs and also the needs of our clients who will will be storing their info with us. I really like the Galaxy platform and would love to be able be confident when discussing data security and how we manage access to the stack. MongoDB Atlas has some good features with audit logging/two factor and access to logs via their API, for examples of what I’m referring to. Thanks -

Fantastic! Have been looking forward on having this feature on galaxy.

@rohit2b Can you give us a timeline on when you’re going to get back to us? I have customers who’ve asked for an answer to this question now, before they sign our license agreement

@rohit2b what is the status of additional security features? I also agree with @sives that dual factor authentication would be a great security addition to Meteor Galaxy.

I think we can safely conclude that further security centred features are not a priority and will be a long time coming (if at all). Our app is getting to the stage that enterprise clients are insisting on a minimum of two factor authentication and restricted IP accessibility.

We’re exploring alternative options - does anyone have any to recommend that can match Galaxy’s ease of use (which is quite fantastic!)?

@sives What did you end up doing re: such customers?

We were not able to close a deal with one particularly important customer who needed this level of security. Very frustrating. Rohit Bakhshi is no longer Product Manager at MDG, perhaps we’ll see the new product manager give it the prioritisation it deserves.
