Heavy CPU use after tool update to 1.4

Some users are experiencing CPU spikes on their pre-1.4 apps using a 1.4 version of the Meteor tool (Meteor will update the tool version to the latest behind the scenes). See: https://github.com/meteor/meteor/issues/7491

Rest assured we’re working on fixing this and hope to have an update out soon, I’ll let you know once we do via this thread.

We’ve released version 1.4.0.1 with a fix to this issue. We’re now working on fixing an issue that is causing hung downloads for some users (see: Meteor update on OS X hangs)
