Blaze Components are designed to be interoperable with other systems. This is why there is in fact a base component package. This is core. And then there will be Blaze, React, and Web component packages extending the common class. So that you can use all those together interchangeably.
Sadly, I didn’t yet have time to get to implement other packages. There is a community effort on web components support: https://github.com/peerlibrary/meteor-blaze-components/issues/14
