“curl https://install.meteor.com/ | sh” is not updated yet !!
Where did you see it’s released? I don’t see an announcement anywhere and for me meteor update shows This project is already at Meteor 1.4.0.1, the latest release.
The Meteors usually wait “a while” between making the release available and making it Recommended. Only when Recommended will it be advertised. Before that you need to use --release to get it.
