updated to 1.4.2 correctly … but i am getting all these errors …

This project is already at Meteor 1.4.2, the latest release.

It look like some of your packages have binary dependencies. These need to be built from source if they’re not available. To build binaries from source you need a C++ compiler and Python (2.6 or 2.7 I think). If they’re not available on your system (or not available with the default PATH) they can’t be built.

The weird thing is that even with the error I’ve been able to successfully upgrade meteor and all of my packages, and this are running great. But if I type meteor update it still shoots these errors out each time.

What I don’t understand is why meteor is trying to install fsevents in the first place. Since that’s a mac os x package, shouldn’t it just skip that altogether?

Ideally I will use bash on windows in the future to run meteor, but currently it’s not ready for prime time so I still need to use the meteor windows wrapper.

After struggling , the problem was in momentjs so i had to stick to moment with version 2.5.1 instead of 2.5.2
This solved the problem for me
If anyone of you guys find alternative solution for 2.5.2 please advice

This is being tracked here and seems to be due to devDependencies being included in the build. Cause currently unknown but under investigation. Thanks for reporting it!

I had the same issue and had to install the version 2.15.1

run meteor add momentjs:moment@=2.15.1

This works for me.
