Alternative to `asteroid`as a ddp client for Meteor Backend

Hey guys, is there an alternative to asteroid as a DDP client for the MeteorJS backend? The reason I asked is that I think it’s outdated like last updated 7 or 8 years ago. For your context, I plan to use NextJs as my frontend framework then I want my backend to be Meteor.
