I just made an apollo starter kit that uses mantra.
It has the latest version of meteor and it works just fine.
It has one collection Posts and I have used mutations to insert data and queries to display the data.
Ill be updating it frequently and Ill be sure to add more featues.

After reading a lot about Apollo and GraphQL, this is the first time any of it has really made sense to me.
