I’m interesting in starting a app via Telescope project. I know that Compose.io is recommended as one of the options for MongoDB cloud hosting. I have also used MongoLab in the past. Does anyone have experience in using these services for a Meteor app. What is recommended and most stable. Thanks.
You might want to look at https://mms.mongodb.com/. It manages your own servers for fairly good prices.
Check out ScaleGrid for fully managed MongoDB cloud hosting. It’s the only DBaaS platform that lets you keep full MongoDB admin control and SSH root access to the underlying machine. ScaleGrid also lets you host in your own AWS or Azure account so you can use Reserved Instances to save on database hosting costs, and VPC/VNET to secure your deployments. You can also compare ScaleGrid vs. Compose and mLab here on their MongoDB Hosting Comparison page.
