The meteor site directs that meteor be installed via chocolatey.
But chocolatey gives a warning that meteor should be installed with admin rights (in elevated command), which is generally not advisable.

Erm, you do know that pretty much 95% of all programs you install on Windows need elevated rights?
Also, what exactly do you think sudo
does on Linux? Please try to install Meteor without sudo
on Linux and tell us how far you got.
