Community Survey 2025 open! Fill it out!

After a few years of a pause I have decided to get inspired by NodeJS community survey and revive the community survey that I used to do.

You can fill it out here:

In short I’m looking to get together info on how are people using Meteor and what they are looking for in the future. It covers the traditional areas like features, deployment options, desired locations for Galaxy and questions about popular packages.

The survey is now open until September 21st!

Please share and encourage your fellow MeteorJS devs to fill out the survey.

The initial results will be presented at Meteor Impact 2025 and after removing any personally identifiable information present I will publish the full data set.

Am I missing any question or have I made an error/typo somewhere? Please let me know!

Having some problems with the form. “Next” doesn’t move to the next section.

Replicated, very strange. Looking into it.

UPDATE: Fixed now! @paulishca

Great initiative!

For next year, I suggest asking about usage of Typescript vs JavaScript for apps. Or maybe we already know that percentage?

It is mostly covered by other surveys, but definitely something to think about.

@gabsferreira @fredmaiaarantes @grubba @filipenevola and all the other Brazilians! I have to call you out, none of you have filled out the survey!

IMO the core members shouldnt fill it since it will turn the survey skewed, this survey will be important to understant what is the community vision about meteorjs, putting our internal opnion it will affect the results.

I disagree. There are broad questions that still apply to you as a core contributor. If you feel that any questions is not appropriate for you to fill or don’t have opinion out then you can skip it. This data will be used both by the core team and community, so you are also providing feedback to community.

I’ve been busy for months (working on two big Meteor projects, by the way), so I wasn’t following the forums.

But I’m back  I’m testing great stuff from @nachocodoner on Meteor 3.4, for instance.

But yeah, I missed this one, sorry :frowning:

Also, it seems all Quave guys lost the survey as well. :open_mouth:
