Deploying Meteor Apps to Pivotal Cloud Foundry

So this might not be something new to everyone but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to deploy Meteor apps to Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

I followed instructions found over here. If you follow along with the first approach outlined there you’ll end up with a tar.gz file ready to go. They also outline a docker approach I did not try but maybe someone else here has.

I was just blown away at how ridiculously simple this deployment option becomes when you pre-package it for your audience. I mean there is just no friction … at least that is what I experienced (you’re mileage may vary of course).

Then I was thinking, I’d love to see more enterprise traction for my Sequent Retrospective tool I created a while back so wrapped it up in a really simple package and added PCF installation instructions to my repo.

Check it out!. It just doesn’t get any simpler.

Is anyone else using PCF at your corp job or as part of your freelance business?

Should we be pushing Meteor as a viable enterprise-ready development toolset?
