Do I need a domain to access a deployed app in galaxy.meteor.com?

I was wondering since I don’t see the IP address of the deployed app after creating it.

You mean a custom domain? If so that’s not a requirement as you can use a subdomains of meteorapp.com. For example — http://store-of-sales.meteorapp.com/

I mean, in digitalocean you have an IP address to access the server / app

In galaxy.meteor.com do you need a domain or subdomain to access the website/app? If so, (since I don’t have a lot of experience with domains/sub-domains) is there a way to get free domains/subdomains?

As timfletcher said, subdomains of meteorapp.com are available for free. In his example, store-of-sales is the subdomain. Just pick a name to use and add .meteorapp.com to the end. If no one else has used it, you should be able to.
