15 hours ago, it moved into ā€œrelease candidateā€ phase, so no more new features - only bug fixes.

Iā€™ve been working on a post about itā€¦ not sure if my article is any better than the meteor blog and this thread, but at least itā€™s a new take and perhaps covers a slightly different angle:
