Fill-in on the scoop with the current state of Meteor

I suppose this would count as ‘help’. Could any of you here be so kind as to fill me in with Meteor and what has changed since 2016. I’ve not been here in a while, I last remember that the testing sites were taken offline. I’m back and have an idea for a project in mind, I’d like to use Meteor to develop the idea into a project. Anyways, I basically want to know what has changed with Meteor and what direction is it heading in? Oh, and am I still able to use blaze or am I forced to use Angular and React?

I think Meteor doc is good but that’s true it would need a fresh style.

I would easily imagine a 2017 Introduction to Meteor, explaining some cool ways to do it
