Try clearing contents of versions file, meteor reset and try again. Worked for me.

Hi David,

open your project folder in a new console or terminal, and execute the following commands:

mv .meteor/versions .meteor/old.versions
touch .meteor/versions
meteor reset
meteor update

Then your project can use the new version of meteor.

I am getting the same error and clearing contents of version files did not resolve it.
