Galaxy and logs

Hi everyone,
Long time lurker, first-time poster.
I’ve been using Meteor for a while but now making the transition to Galaxy for deployment.

I’m curious what you guys use for server logs. I know I can access them from the Galaxy dashboard, but I would love a CLI to view them. Setting up email alerts for particular errors is also something I’d also like to do. I can do both of these easily through Heroku.

There is some info in the docs on sending logs to an Elastic search server, but are there any other options? How does the Meteor community handle logs with Galaxy?

I’ve always just used Galaxy logs. Which isn’t ideal because I think it only retains them for a few weeks. Been wanting to try the Elastic Search method.

I think you can use any logging SaaS-type service out there. There are many.
