News from FHIR DevDays is that GraphQL is being added to the FHIR standard in R4!!! Digging up the draft from the January working group…

Epic, Cerner, AllScripts, Apple HealthKit, Google, Microsoft, Medicare, Veterans Administration… they’ve all announced support for FHIR over the past 12 to 18 months. So addition of GraphQL into the specification means that all the major healthcare companies will begin considering using GraphQL with their FHIR servers. Which… @shalkam happened to generously contribute a prototype of last year.
