How much is Galaxy Developer?

It says pay as you go $0.035 per GB per hour, but what does it mean by pay for only the amount you use?

They mean you’re paying for the amount of time your instances are running. So if you have 1 512MB instance running for 24 hours, you’ll be paying 24 * 0.018 = $0.43. You aren’t charged for instances that aren’t running.

I just got my invitation… right after setting up everything on digital ocean - can I accept the invitation and simply don’t have instances to not burn money till i find some time to look into the benefits?

I’m doing that right now. We are working to move everything from digital ocean to galaxy and we have been sitting with no instances until we are ready to deploy.
