Introducing Galaxy Community Writers - Get Paid for Writing Technical Articles!
Hey everyone
We’re excited to announce the launch of Galaxy Community Writers, a new program by Galaxy (the company that maintains Meteor.js) where you can get paid $60 USD for writing high-quality technical articles.
What is Galaxy Community Writers?
This is a community-driven initiative to create valuable technical content for developers. While we’re announcing it here in the Meteor community first, the program welcomes articles about all technologies supported by Galaxy:
- Meteor.js (of course!)
- Node.js applications and frameworks
- Django development
- AdonisJS framework
- MongoDB and data management
How It Works
- Browse available themes in our GitHub repository
- Propose your article using our issue template
- Get approved by our technical team
- Write your article
- Get reviewed and provide revisions
- Get paid $60 immediately via GitHub Sponsors upon final approval
- See your article published on the new Galaxy blog (launching soon!)
Requirements
- Minimum 1500 words
- Original, unpublished content
- Functional code examples when applicable
- Natural mention of Galaxy with trackable link (we’ll provide it)
- Practical value for the developer community
This is Version 1.0 Beta!
Important: This is a work in progress and our initial version of the program. We’re launching it now to:
- Start building our content library for the new Galaxy blog
- Get feedback from the community on the process
- Iterate and improve based on real usage
We expect to refine the program based on your feedback and suggestions.
New Galaxy Blog Coming Soon
All approved articles will be published on our new Galaxy blog, which is currently in development and will be launched in the coming days. This blog will be the central hub for technical content about Galaxy and all supported technologies.
Available Topics (Examples)
We have over 70+ article opportunities across different themes. Here are some Meteor-specific examples:
Meteor Development:

Why We’re Doing This
Galaxy has been the home for Meteor applications for years, and now we’re expanding to support multiple technologies. We believe in the power of community-driven content to help developers learn, solve problems, and build amazing applications.
By compensating writeres, we want to:
- Support the community that has supported us
- Create high-quality content that actually helps developers
- Share knowledge across different technology stacks
- Build a resource that benefits everyone
Questions?
Feel free to ask questions here in this thread, or:
- Open an issue in our GitHub repository

- Share your thoughts on the program structure
I’m excited to see what we’ll create together.
TL;DR: Galaxy is paying $60 for 1500+ word technical articles about Meteor, Node.js, Django, AdonisJS, and MongoDB. It’s v1.0 of the program, we want your feedback, and content will go on our new blog launching soon. Check it out!
