Is anyone using 1.6 beta?

I’ve tried to update my existing 1.5.2 project to 1.6 beta 26 but it keeps failing.

I’ve been using 1.6 since it was an alpha and haven’t had any issues, but I haven’t tried beta 26 myself yet

Using it in production for a couple months now. Works great but I had to fix some issues with some incompatible packages.

I’ve upgraded from 1.5 to 1.6 beta without any problem.

This is on an EC2 large instance, I installed node 4.8, got metoer, cloned my app, and tried the upgrade.

last time I looked v8-profiler didn’t work properly with node 8, perhaps this is why.

in the meantime, can you try removing Kadira or disabling just the profiling part of Kadira and see if the upgrade works without that?

I’m on Meteor 1.6-beta.27 right now and things are running smoothly, really happy with Meteor 1.6!

It is a known issue : P
Sadly, v8-profiler is mostly deprecated, and the kadira CPU package still uses that.
You’ll have to remove kadira-cpu-profiler (can’t remember the name of the package).

i also update my project from 1.5.2 to METEOR@1.6-beta.30, i got error at first but after i reinstall meteor npm install --save babel-runtime@next and meteor npm install --save bcrypt everything is fine.
i already use it on production.

For those who have deployed 1.6 in production, what do you use? e.g I use mup and I think I will have to look at custom scripts and custom docker image so that the 1.6 beta is used.

I’m also using mup with abernix 8.4 image, no need for custom script. And I think Galaxy now supports 1.6

I’m using in production for months with Galaxy without any problem, I guess since beta8. The app is faster than before, Node 8 FTW
