At the moment I use Kilo with 2 free LLMs (through OpenRouter), which have everything I need: Devstral 2 for coding/debugging and DeepSeek R1 Chimera for everything else. Maintaining at least 10$ in the OpenRouter account adds some benefits, but I only spend those credits for rapid code updates. For instance, one code update with the Morph V3 Fast model costs me … $0.005.
If you use KiloCode and have some sensitive files, don’t forget to add them to .kilocodeignore
For free autocomplete in Kilo (in VS Code) I use Twinny plugin (requires a small embed model to run locally)
I would love to hear about other free unlimited AI coding solutions/environments.
