Meteor 1.1.0.1 installation on Windows 7 fails

Says “Setup failed…One or more issues caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues…” Also "0x80070005: Access is denied.

Am installing from the standard installer InstallMeteor.exe (version 1.1.0.1) as administrator. Please help.

Is the C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\.meteor directory still hanging around? It's a hidden directory so unless you have Folder Options - View - Show hidden files, folders, and drives set you'll never see it.

No, both .meteor and .meteorsession (or whatever) have been removed.

Btw, I also removed meteor using IObit uninstaller, removed registry entries completely, etc. Essentially there’s no trace of the old meteor lying around.

Hi, the solution:

Go to C:\Users\Administrador(or other user folder)\AppData\Local\Package Cache, right click and open Properties
Go to Security tab and edit Permissions to allow Full control

What steps to take to completely reinstall Meteor package on Windows7 ?? I am stuck as I cant uninstall (it doesnt seem to be there, including the hidden directories that I know of) and the windows installer just “completes” instaneously and says meteor i sready for use… which it isn’t. Any ideas will be very welcome.
