Meteor+AngularJS - dead end of the app?

Hello folks!

I have developed and deployed a succesful mobile app with Meteor 1.4 and AngularJS 1.x during the past few years. It uses Ionic 1 for styling and MUP for deploying the app. Meteor, Ionic and Angular have all been updated to newer and smarter versions meanwhile.

Now, time is to extend the mobile app with a few extra features, and a backend administrative desktop application is about to be created from scratch.

The problem is that I want to use fairly new technology for new programming and simple automated upgrades of Meteor+Angular+Ionic doesn’t exist. Is this then the dead end of my app or can I continue development using this existing and already programmed app? Any suggestions on how I could proceed my project technology wise?

Best regards, A confused programmer, Morten
