As I have announced during the opening of the conference I will be releasing the conference recordings slowly over the coming months on the community channel:
Some like keynote will probably appear at the official channel and earlier as well, so stay tuned for that!
People will be more appreciative of the live experience. Else why have a live conference at all if everyone will watch it in a recording? Not to mention that lot of people say that they will watch it later, but then never will.
If I put everything out all at once it fills in the subscription feed and is annoying. Also back to point 1 people will maybe watch the keynote and then say they will watch the rest later, but never will. Too many videos at one time is no good.
The impact of the conference will be spread more through time as the recordings will become available through time. Since there will be something new every week. So it is content optimization.
That said some content will come in early depending on the requests of the speakers. Also those who have donated to the conference and speakers will get access to the recordings once we finish processing them.
@storyteller any change to publish the “contributting into meteorjs” talk first?
It will help a lot we receive new contributors from https://hacktoberfest.com/
@storyteller I understand your desire to smooth out the Youtube stats, but it feels like a punishment.
I had to 1) Sleep and then 2) work the next day, so I only got to go to 2 or 3 talks (one of which I gave).
For me, the conference is a chance to build momentum. I want to watch ALL of the videos, and you want to give me them slowly? WTF?
