Did you run it as administrator.

Do you use a http proxy?

yes I did that but I didn’t successful .

No. I didn’t use proxy, I trid it on a VPS located in London installed successfully but on my own PC no. I live in Iran, Is it because of ‘Sanctions against Iran’ ??
and also the old installer works and installed the old version.

Can you actually reach packages.meteor.com?

Sounds to me like your connection has problems.

@rhywden. Yes I can and sign in with my meteor account successfully.
but I have to use a vpn to download this manually:
https://static-meteor.netdna-ssl.com/packages-bootstrap/1.7.0.5/meteor-bootstrap-os.windows.x86_64.tar.gz

I’m going to guess it’s be cause of the (stupid) sanctions

I think so. any suggestion for install it off-line?For example download something then install it,
I installed meteor with old installer but it is the older version.

You can run Meteor from a git checkout (you can checkout any branch/release):

However, I’ve not tried this from Windows.

Alternatively, you can install a specific release (has the same requirements for use as the above, but is a single branch only).

Hi, I’m From Iran too, and i got the same error, but i know how to fix it.
You Just Need Too use a VPN, I Recommend you ProtonVPN and use United State Server. The Run As Admin Your PowerShell and Write choco install meteor then its done, now you can download it without any problem! have a nice day :yum: :kissing_heart:
