Dear user,
Petar Korponaić speaking, founder of Meteor Kitchen project.
First of all, I owe you an apology and explanation for previous GDPR related e-mail.
It is sent by mistake and this is precisely what happened:
We are sending newsletters directly from Meteor Kitchen site, where users with admin rights (five of us) can write and preview newsletter, and can send it to one of two groups: “Test” group (five of us) or “All users” group (6005 users at the moment).
One of our teammates tried to be sarcastic and funny but instead sending e-mail to “Test” group (five of us), he sent it to “All users” group (6000+ users). Disaster!
I hope you understand, and… to repeat again: please accept my apologies! This will not happen again - that’s for sure (and now only one user is allowed to send newsletters).
Second: GDPR, Your privacy and You are IMPORTANT to us!
Meteor Kitchen is 4 years old project, and a lot of work and energy is spent into it. We are proud with our 6000+ users and we are happy watching counter and seeing new users every day.
And, we ARE working on GDPR compliance:
We implemented better control of user profiles (currently, by default, user’s profile is publicly visible and cannot be hidden - that’s changed and will be deployed in next version, plus other privacy related changes, will be announced soon).
We are preparing new Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions
Third, we are not sharing or selling and we are not abusing your data in any way
Last, but not least
We love you.
Please don’t delete your account.
Please don’t share previous e-mail on social networks. That e-mail was intended to be internal joke (not funny at all!) and was sent by mistake.
Thank you for your understanding!
Best regards, Petar Korponaić
