If anyone is interested, I’m maintaining a Meteor FreeBSD branch here:
It’s at 1.9-beta1 now, I started with 1.9-alpha7 I guess. It gets updated to use the newest pkg binary node available on latest repo, not on quarterly, not on ports.
You’ll have the dev tools, you’ll be able to build on FreeBSD, and you’ll be able to target FreeBSD for your builds.
I updated node version to 13.0.0 (It’ll be always the latest node available in FreeBSD ports), and fibers to 4.0.2. I also re-synchronized my branch with meteor/release-1.9 branch.
