Hey, Meteor community,
I want to share some significant changes to our team and our approach to Developer Relations for Meteor.js and Galaxy.
What’s Changing
- We’re dissolving our separate Developer Relations team.
- Our core developers will now directly handle advocacy efforts, too.
- @gabsferreira, our Lead Developer Advocate, is joining the OSS team and will guide advocacy across both OSS and Galaxy teams.
- @camikuro (our Community Manager) and @denyhs (a core team member for 5 years) are leaving the company. @brunoeduardodev (Galaxy developer) is also leaving.
- @grubba is returning to the OSS core team.
What This Means for Our Community
- You’ll interact more directly with the developers building Meteor.js and Galaxy.
- Our advocacy will be more closely tied to our development roadmap.
- We aim for a more integrated product development and community engagement approach.
- We will soon hire more developers for our teams.
Team Updates
We’re excited to welcome Gabriel Grubba back to our OSS core team. He will start part-time for now. His experience will be a big help as we move forward.
At the same time, we want to sincerely thank Cami and Denilson for their significant contributions to Meteor over the years. Bruno for his significant improvements on Galaxy. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
We’re looking forward to this next chapter.
PS: Get your CVs ready.
