Hello everyone!
As you may know, today marks a new chapter for me. While I’m stepping away from the core team, my journey with Meteor is far from over.
Working on the core team for the past five years has been an incredible experience. I’ve learned so much and had the privilege of contributing to so many facets of Meteor—DevOps, Cloud, and OSS. Watching these areas evolve into what they are today has been inspiring. Seeing this community grow stronger over time has been even more rewarding.
Looking back, what stands out the most is the passion and dedication that drives this community forward. Meteor is more than just a framework; it’s a shared vision powered by a remarkable group of people who believe in its potential. I have no doubt that Meteor will continue to grow and thrive in your capable hands.
Now, I’m embarking on new challenges. I want to push myself, tackle different problems, and elevate my skills to the next level. There’s no better time than now to take this leap.
Together, we’ve achieved so much. We removed Fibers, released Meteor 3, and prepared it for the future with Node 22, MongoDB 6, Express 5, and beyond. These milestones took about three years to accomplish—they weren’t easy, but the process was deeply rewarding.
And now, Meteor is in excellent hands with an elite core team: Leo, Nacho, and Grubba!
Although I’m no longer part of the core team, I’ll remain a member of the community. Meteor has been a significant part of my journey, and I’m excited to keep building with it and contributing in new ways.
Thank you for making this journey so special. Here’s to the bright future of Meteor and everything we’ll continue to achieve together.
See you around
