Meteor UP local Ubuntu Vitrual Machine deployment configuration?

Hi,

I want to deploy my TEST Meteor app with MUP on my local Ubuntu 15.10 Virtual Machine, does anybody have config settings for this kind of deployment?

I had installed MUP and Initialized it and this is base configuration:
{
// Server authentication info
"servers": [
{
“host”: “hostname”,
“username”: “root”,
“password”: “password”
// or pem file (ssh based authentication)
//“pem”: “~/.ssh/id_rsa”
}
],

// Install MongoDB in the server, does not destroy local MongoDB on future setup
"setupMongo": true,

// WARNING: Node.js is required! Only skip if you already have Node.js installed on server.
“setupNode”: true,

// WARNING: If nodeVersion omitted will setup 0.10.36 by default. Do not use v, only version number.
“nodeVersion”: “0.10.36”,

// Install PhantomJS in the server
"setupPhantom": true,

// Show a progress bar during the upload of the bundle to the server.
// Might cause an error in some rare cases if set to true, for instance in Shippable CI
"enableUploadProgressBar": true,

// Application name (No spaces)
“appName”: “meteor”,

// Location of app (local directory)
“app”: “/path/to/the/app”,

// Configure environment
"env": {
“ROOT_URL”: “http://myapp.com
},

// Meteor Up checks if the app comes online just after the deployment
// before mup checks that, it will wait for no. of seconds configured below
"deployCheckWaitTime": 15
}

And all examples on net are for deploying to some Online Hosting places…

I haven’t tried myself, but the easiest and cleanest thing would be to create an additional VM, either side by side of your Ubuntu VM, or as a new VM inside your Ubuntu VM.

Just make sure you can access the IP from one box to the other ( you might have to use a ‘bridged network adapter’ in your guest settings).

Then you can use that ip-adress as root_url and host

Aham, I will try to find some simpler solution, if not then I will do that.

Thank you @eleventy
