Ship Meteor with the current stable version of MongoDB?

Meteor 1.5 currently ships with MongoDB 3.2. In a couple of weeks, MongoDB will announce the 3.6 release of its database (likely to ship in November/December 2017).

MongoDB 3.4 has been out since December 2016. What’s the reason that it doesn’t come bundled with Meteor?

I don’t think there is a big reason, the best way to resolve the question is to open an issue on GitHub though.
