Using WSL2 under windows 10 (ubuntu 20.04) bash shell
Execute meteor update yields output

        Extracting meteor-tool@2.4.0_1...         |
[process exited with code 1]

Any ideas?

meh. Rebooting the machine allowed the update to proceed with no errors.
