Status of 'meteor/apollo'?

So in the latest apollo skeleton, it seems this package is still in use, so,

  1. Why was the github repo archived? Are we going to deprecate this package?
  2. It seems there’s no TS typing for this package, is there any plan to add one?

This is a great question! I would like some clarity too.

The Github repo is not archived though: https://github.com/meteor/apollo/

Apollo recently updated their docs to specifically recommend DDP-Apollo, which is different from the old (albeit outdated) documentation.

I’d also really like to know what path is recommended these days.

I had messaged @filipenevola about this a bit ago. I think they were going to take it over, but I don’t know why it hasn’t happened yet. I agree it’s not a great look to have a default and important package repo archived. Hopefully a quick fix on the archive thing, then we can add some types.

It it being officially supported by Meteor Software, though it is mainly me pushing things there at the moment.
