Using Cordova to access device's camera, but not the full camera app (similar to Snapchat)?

Hi, title explains it pretty well. I’d like to allow the user to take a picture without opening the camera app. Similar to snapchat, where right when you open the app, the camera is there and ready to go, only with the necassary options. Is this possible with Cordova/Meteor? If so, could you point me in the right direction? Because I’m lost. Thanks for the help in advanced!

I did, thanks for the suggestion, we really need iOS support though
