Two weeks ago I have started the package velocity:helpers that provides testing helpers to make common testing tasks straight forward. You can start to use the available testing helpers. I will add new ones over time.
If you miss a helper for a common testing task, create a new GitHub issue. Also read the Contributing guidelines.
