What is the Amplify package?

I am looking around some clean ways to do persistent storage offline with Meteor. I found this SO thread which quotes “amplify” package. But the link goes nowhere in the doc.

There is a package Amplify on atmosphere but no readme files. So what Is there any doc somewhere? Could it work with 1.3?

Looks like a wrapper package for AmplifyJS

Given that the answer is from 2014, it’s probably outdated/obsolete, though. (and looking at the history on that page, it hasn’t been updated at all)
