What's up with atmosphere?

Atmosphere is acting weird.

Firstly, I can’t scroll down the page without it jumping all over the place. ctrl+f also stops working and jumps. Noticed this first on a macbook, have reproduced the scrolling issues on windows (both with chrome).

Secondly the trending info seems to be broken. Again reproduced on both windows and mac with chrome.

Should I be using atmosphere or atmosphere packages at all?

I can’t reproduce this (Version 51.0.2704.103 m on Windows).

atmosphere is just a web front-end to the meteor package server. You could use fastosphere instead, or even meteor search on the command line.
