Which Operating System is being used by Meteor Galaxy?

I need to know which Operarting System is being used by Meteor Galaxy. Our Meteor app need to interact with another app which is in C and we need to host the executable file of the C app on Meteor Galaxy. To compile the app - we need to know the OS.

Base image runs on Ubuntu 14.04
