Why does MUP have an option to install Phantom JS?

I tried searching for an answer, but haven’t found any.
Why does MUP offer to install Phantom JS?
I wasn’t even sure what it was until I checked it out, but I still don’t see why it would be important during deployment… probably missing something.

I have always just left it as true - but I would like to better understand why…

Two reasons I can think of:

• Server-side rendering: https://atmospherejs.com/meteor/spiderable
• Browser testing: https://atmospherejs.com/sanjo/jasmine optionally uses PhantomJS
