Does anyone have this issue with Galaxy? When I deploy my app it always takes at least 10 minutes and if it takes longer than 15 minutes (which is half the time), it normally fails for no apparent reason in the logs (the new container finally starts up only to die a minute or two later).
I have been in contact with support but they are offering no help or resolution. I think it’s kinda bad that I pay top dollar for Galaxy servers but deploying is a complete nightmare. It’s awful
I’m on Meteor 3.3.2 - anyone else experiencing this?
The best and fastest way to get support for Galaxy hosting issues is through our support portal at Galaxy Support | Galaxy Help Center. I see you’ve already opened a ticket with us, but I’m also responding here to give the community visibility on this issue. I completely understand your frustration, and I apologize for your experience. This is not the experience we want our customers to have, and we are working hard to prevent it from happening again.
I want to let you know that we’re actively investigating these deployment failures. For now, you can try to deploy via CLI with the --no-wait parameter, which tends to be more stable and doesn’t wait for deployment completion before returning control. This should help you get fewer fails while we work on the underlying issue.
Based on our ongoing investigation, we’ve already implemented some measures that have resulted in infrastructure resource optimization. We expect these improvements to help in the short term, reducing or potentially eliminating deployment freezes, delays, or failures for Meteor apps.
Also, we have a complete refactoring of the build and deploy process planned to go live by the end of the year. This update should significantly improve both speed and reliability. We’re modeling it after our more modern deploy process for web apps that’s proven much more stable.
