Regarding minimongo more data handling at client side

If I have more like 5lakhs data at minimongo (client side).how meteor will handle in that case. will it slow down the system

What about of data is this? 5mb? 5kb?

for example if i have 20 GB data at client side minimongo will it slow down the system?..minimongo is like localstorage or some other I have doubt in this…if anybody clarify me it will help me more
